March with Nick on Cardiff

Nick Larder of the RAP (Rhiwcynon Against Pylons) Protest Group has declared that he will lead a walking march of protest from Welshpool to Cardiff covering the 106 miles from Welshpool to the Welsh Assembly Government Offices in Cardiff Bay, spread over four to five days, as part of the widespread campaign against current plans to blight the rural countryside … and he wants YOU to join him for all or part of his march route.

Track Nick's Progress

“I have seen valleys destroyed by pylons and unless we fight to stop these plans then Mid Wales will end up being permanently destroyed.”

The plans to transport many hundreds of protesters to Cardiff Bay by bus on May 24th are already taking firm shape with Nick’s March co-ordinated leave at 9am on Thursday 19th from outside the Welshpool Town Hall and to arrive in the capital at the same time as the buses.

“I will be walking from Welshpool to Cardiff, via Newtown, Llandrindod Wells, Builth wells, Brecon, Merthyr Tydfil and Tongwynlais – the more people who want to join me the better, The Welsh Assembly Government need to sit up and take notice of what the people of Mid Wales think.”

Joining Nick for the entire march route are; Ifan Davies, Richard Jones and Oili Hedman.
